Rensselaer’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) establishes policies and introduces a concept of operations spanning the direction and control of an emergency from initial monitoring through post-disaster response, recovery and mitigation.
Active Shooter
The Department of Public Safety takes the safety and security of the entire campus community very seriously. As part of their continuous efforts, Public Safety encourages all Rensselaer students, staff, and faculty to review these Active Shooter tips.
Criminal Activity
Public Safety employs a full time Investigations Unit that is available to respond to criminal activity, 24 hours a day.
The Investigations Unit assists in analyzing crime reports, provides victim services, and confers regularly with local, county, and state law enforcement agencies.
