If you lock yourself out of your residence hall during business hours, contact Residence Life by calling (518) 274-6284.  If you get locked out after business hours, call your on-duty RA or RD, or Public Safety at (518) 276-6656.

Faculty and Staff

If you lock yourself out of your office during business hours, contact Environmental Services at (518) 276-2000; Environmental Services staff are usually readily available in the building during business hours.  After hours, call Public Safety at (518) 276-6656.

Lost and found items may be reported to Public Safety 24 hours a day seven days a week. In addition, Alpha Phi Omega (APO) operates a lost and found service in the Union, and most buildings on campus have their own lost and found services.

All members of the campus community who have a valid driver’s license or a campus ID card can contact Public Safety if they need assistance with jumpstarting their car battery.

Vehicle Lockout

Public Safety can assist members of the campus community who have locked themselves out of their vehicle and, if necessary, will assist in contacting a local towing agency or garage.  Please note, however, there is a chance that Public Safety’s using tools to unlock the car door will cause damage to your lock.

Please keep in mind that if you ever feel unsafe at any time on campus, locate one of the campus emergency telephones or go to a well-illuminated and well-traveled area to seek  assistance.

Public Safety provides fingerprinting services on:

• Wednesday
  11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• Thursday
  3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Public Safety provides safety education and training programs in CPR and first aid, defensive driving, and Rape Awareness Defense (RAD). Upcoming courses will be advertised in Morning Mail and on the campus events calendar.
